Now that school if officially over (Praise to Jesus!), I was hoping things would slow down a bit. Of course, I milked the graduation excuse right into a trip to Charleston. Being very cool, I went with my parents. Remember when going anyway with your parents was sooooooooooooo embarrassing (sorry mom)? Now it's no big deal. So does this mean I'm getting older or my parents were cool all along? And how does the fact that the music in TJ MAX are the tunes I listened to in college?
Anyway, enough about getting older! I did graduate and obtain a NP license. I can see patients but still feel like a little kid pretending. It doesn't help that everyone in the office save one nurse if about 6 feet tall. I look like the little sister tagging along after her big brother. But it has been two weeks and knock on wood, I haven't killed anyone.
Skye also finished up the school year and headed off to Canada. He did not go on the very cool trip to Charleston with my parents. Instead he went to Manitoba to teach a class for 3 weeks. Very good for the resume, but the weather was better in SC. He's then off to various parts of the world before taking me to Alaska, then off to more parts of the world.
This type of wandering by my husband has lead to the hiring of a lawn boy and complete control of the TV. Sometimes this good and sometimes this is bad. Complete control of the TV--very good. Remembering to call the lawn boy--BAD!
I intend to make this blog a little interesting to folks in the future. However, it's late and I have discovered my cat snores. So I'm taking myself, the shinny cat, and the fat cat off to bed.
I will see all my Utah buddies in July (I'm heading home for the Fourth) And my SC buddies, I'll see at the Walmart.
(And Alison-you know who you are-if you read this, send me your address. Or call me. I'm pretty sure you made to MT in one piece, but I miss your little voice. )

Hi! I'd love to see you in SLC in July and you can meet Emmett! Congrats on your degree. So awesome. I am very awed and jealous. I don't feel like I have anything like that in me right now or in the very near future.
So I have been going on trips with my parents for a long time and my friends have always thought it was weird. I usually invite a lot of my friends and at first they are skeptical when they hear my parents are going then they decide to try it then they are shocked when they have a good time because my parents are fun! I had to get over the parental embarrassment long ago.
Lisa,
I love your blog! I was also inspired by Jessica's to keep one, but mine is not nearly as entertaining as hers is. I have added yours to my favorites page and plan to visit often, so you'll have to keep up on your posts. Congrats on your degree! May was a busy month for our family!! Speaking of trips, my mom and I have been brainstorming about coming to see you over next spring break. I know that's a ways away, but it gives us something to look forward to! :)
