Better attitude

I have not posted anything in awhile because after reading my drafts I decided I was just a big complainer. Morning sickness will do that to a girl. But I'm putting on my cheery face and writing a post with a positive spin. So..here are our latest adventures......

-Impending parenthood: So far, this mostly involves various forms of bland toast, prenatal vitamins, and activities in the bathroom I vowed not to mention. I am now at the point where I decided this pregnancy is going to stick, so I better start cleaning out the closets. We have a lot crap. Which I'm going to get rid of to make room for all the baby crap I'm going to buy. But baby stuff is so much smaller and cuter. I will post pictures when I REALLY look pregnant. Right now I'm in between "is that girl pregnant" and the "too many beers over the weekend" look.

I have started to look forward to this child being a part of my life. It's funny how one day it hits you....your stomach no longer belongs to you. There's someone inside taking over. On the plus side....maternity pants are wonderful!

-Saturday football games: It is a religion in the South and I have signed up for the whole baptism. This past Saturday, the weather was wonderful, Adam & Amanda come to visit, and I still fit into my Clemson shirt. (The fact that Clemson decided not to play in the second half therefore losing to Maryland is a negative fact and I will not dwell on it.) But seriously, what could be more fun then a picnic, laying in the sun, and good company? Not much

-New jobs: I gave my first test a couple weeks ago and most of my students scored quite well. Either I am a brilliant teacher or I write easy tests. I'm going for the brilliant teacher bit. Builds up the self esteem.

My next adventure involves prying old T-shirts and socks out of Skye's grip. I believe this is the nesting instinct kicking in. But for now, I'm going to have my nightly talk with Peanut, after which laundry duties call. Here's to a positive week.

Congratulations Lisa! We are excited for a new little face in the crowd!
By the way, I've considered maternity pants at this point in my life - I always thought they were great too.
